This works extremely well in my terrier mix mutt: It softens and conditions without making the coat greasy or clingy. It truly is worth the price, as a little goes a long way, even on my dog’s long coat (he’s only 24lbs ). The scent is just pleasant and clean, & rinses very well.
Got a 100lb rottie. With a double coat you would not believe. He never stops shedding. Could brush him everyday 15 minutes and still get handfuls of fur the next day. A good wash and conditioning with this greatly reduces his shedding for a number of weeks. Used to use this brands stinky dog and regular shampoo/conditioner and this really does reduce the shedding.
We use this and have for years. Earthbath makes excellent grooming products. I love the smell. The Awapuhi scent is light but lovely. The matching conditioner adds to the nice scent. This rinses very easy and quickly from our girl dog's thick double coat and also works quite nicely for our poodle. You don't need a lot of product to get the coat clean. The natural ingredients are really good. I allergy tested this on myself before using on our dog. I put a drop on my inner elbow and left it overnight. Even leaving it on my skin that long my skin was unbothered. I tested it on our dog's belly by using a wet washcloth with a tiny drop or two of the shampoo and then using plain water on a cloth to wipe it off well. We waited 12 hrs and her skin was of course fine. I recommend allergy testing all grooming products on a small quarter or nickel size area for all new to your dog grooming products. It's just a good idea because even natural gentle products can cause issue with some dogs.

i bought this and the shampoo for my dog because she sheds a TON! I literally sweep up an area rug amount daily. after just 1 use..... her hair is so shiny and soft! after i brushed her out and got all the loose fur off, she barely shed all day after that. I'm not sure what the suggested "frequency" is, because i'm sure too much will dry out instead of improve. But I'm going to start her out on every other week with the shampoo and conditioner and see how it goes. It does have a light clean smell so not too bad.
